The 2022 edition of the Ice Hockey World Cup kicks off in Finland later this spring between May 13 and 29. The host cities of Finland are Tampere and Helsinki, where the newly built Nokia Arena in Tampere hosts major competitions – for example the medal round.
Canada are the defending champions, beating Finland 3-2 in extra time in the 2021 final. Leading players on the Canadian team were NHL players Connor Brown, The Ottawa Senators, won the points league with a total of 16 points (2 + 14), as well as the best Canadian goal scorer in the tournament; Coal flames Andrew is faint (11 points, 7 + 4).
According to Trey Kroner, revenge for not even making the team to the quarterfinals during last year’s championship applies.
