Trump’s lawyers filed the lawsuit against CNN in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Monday.
It alleges that CNN engaged in a smear campaign against Donald Trump with “a long string of scandalous, false and increasingly defamatory epithets such as ‘racist’, ‘Russian affiliate’, ‘seditious’ and finally ‘Hitler’ about the former president.”
So Donald Trump is suing CNN for $475 million, which is roughly 5.2 billion kroner.
All negative information has been confirmed.
According to the lawsuit, CNN claimed that it “confirmed all negative information about the plaintiff and ignored all positive information about him.”
The lawsuit states that “CNN attempted to use its enormous influence as a ‘trusted’ news source to defame the plaintiff in front of viewers and readers with intent to defeat him politically.”
Donald Trump was President of the United States between 2017 and 2021. Trump lost the last election to Joe Biden, but he always claimed that the election results were rigged, something that has never been evidenced.
Donald Trump has yet to confirm whether he intends to run for president in 2024.
CNN has not yet commented on the lawsuit.
