A large explosion in the center of Enköping resulted in a car burning and the police cordoned off a large area, and a police helicopter flew over the scene.
National Barrier Protection has been called in to help, according to a police spokesperson.
A witness describes how he saw thick smoke rising at the scene when he came out of a shop in the center of Enkopeng. He called his mother, who said her house shook from the explosion. She lives two kilometers away.
Another witness who lives next door to the scene was among the first to appear at the scene.
– I was about to get rid of the explosion, the whole house shook.
According to the witness, the car caught fire after the explosion and there was not much left of the car when he looked at the scene from his window.
– The only thing left is a curved hood and two front fenders. The doors are out and the ceiling is not there. It split and scattered all over the parking lot.
Police said one person was injured and taken to hospital.
