Edit: Removed only a few unnecessary ones.
I'm having a funny issue with a warranty claim on my HS65 purchased in August 2022. It started sliding mainly on the left side. Not often, but often enough (and now after these rather heavy attempts, he's starting to rustle a little).
Anyway: When I asked to complain, they referred me to instructions on finding the “serial/part code”, in addition directions In my case it sits:
“The HS55 and HS65 series headphones have the sticker on the inside of the left earcup; you have to remove the earcup to see the sticker.”
Only when I try to open the earbud, there is no stick that is easily accessible, but I first have to pull the “ear flap” (soft part) to get in, and when I did that part, the stick was still firmly underneath. Hard plastic (cannot be loosened or bent by force of hand). [Bilder från första försöket]
When I tell them about my problems accessing the serial code, they write “It's okay if the headset is damaged as a result of retrieving the serial number on the unit.”
Then I tried to unscrew the outer part to see if I could access it from the other side somehow. He didn't say no, the stick pushed under the hard plastic. [Bilder från andra försöket]
what should I do now? Smash it with a hammer and hope the stick survives? Did you see the headphone opening? I don't have such a small saw… I could probably cut it in half, but it would probably be too messy, it's a rather large saw meant for larger pieces of wood…
I tried bending the plastic with a screwdriver but the plastic was too stiff. Can it be put in a simple vise I think?
Is this reasonable for them to ask?
sincerely
