Charles Oscar has been an entrepreneur throughout his career. He started his first company during high school, selling soft drinks and sweets that he imported from Great Britain. Since then he has been involved in various industries. The most famous of the companies he started was the coffee chain Espresso House, which he founded in the 90s. After selling his holdings at Espresso House, he took over Beckershoff Manor, where he was born and raised, in 2010.

With a focus on quality and exclusivity, he subsequently developed, among others, hotels and restaurants, conference activities and manor-adjacent hunting operations. In addition, Charles and his family organize one of the country’s most acclaimed camping activities for children and youth in connection with Beckershoff; Wild camping. At Wild Camp, kids can try everything from sailing and climbing to shooting and high altitude shooting – the ambition is to be fun and educational to participate in. Over the years, the camp has built a great reputation – when spots for the summer camp were released, they sold out in 48 seconds.

Charles won the Entrepreneur of the Year award in Sormland County for his inspiring, diverse and lifelong entrepreneurship, using his creativity and talent to improve his hometown and his efforts in recreation and development for children and youth.
