Schneider Electric introduces a new connected floor thermostat at Elfack 2023

Schneider Electric plans to release electrically connected floor heating thermostats in the Wiser smart home system range in 2023. The new thermostats will be shown for the first time at the Elfack trade fair on May 9-12, 2023. The thermostats will first be available in Schneider Electric’s Exxact design, and then until Thermostats come with a Renova design. Connected thermostats can be controlled and automated via the Wiser by SE app.

Connected thermostats are approved for 16 amps and support a variety of sensor cables, 10k Ohm, 12k Ohm, 15k Ohm, 33k Ohm, 47k Ohm. The thermostat will be launched first in the Exxact series, followed by the Renova series later. Like many other products in the Wiser system, the thermostat communicates via the open Zigbee 3.0 protocol.

The Wiser by SE app, through which the smart home is controlled, will in the future be able to collect the hourly electricity rate from the Nord Pool electricity exchange and visualize it in the app. Earlier this year, Schneider Electric also launched an energy sensor, called the PowerTag, which enables the user to easily track a home’s total energy consumption and identify energy thieves. By combining these two functions with the new thermostats, users will be able to keep track of their heating cost and control the thermostat in the app based on prevailing hourly rates. Hourly rate agreements are signed directly with the electricity provider.

With the planned incorporation of hourly electricity rates into the Wiser by SE app, future users of connected thermostats will also be able to control and automate floor heating based on an hourly electricity rate, since there is an energy sensor, so-called PowerTag mount from Schneider Electric. In the home electrical center – installation by a qualified electrician.

– With our new connected thermostat for underfloor heating, we’re pushing the boundaries even further when it comes to energy management and smart home heating. With the Wiser by SE app, users can easily turn the product on and off wherever they are, says Jens Strinsjö, Wiser product manager at Schneider Electric.

Schneider Electric’s product catalog of connected products is constantly growing. Today, you can, among other things, adjust the lighting, find energy thieves, and now also control the underfloor heating. Smart energy management and simpler living are major advantages of having a smart home with the help of Wiser.

Connected floor heating thermostats will be present at the Schneider Electric stand at the Elfack fair, from May 9 to 12 in Gothenburg, venue B02: 08 and will be launched in 2023. The stand will also present a number of other connected home novelties and the Wiser by SE app that helps you Keep track of your energy usage.
