If you are an app developer, you can now download the first build of Android 14. Here are several news.

We barely had time to start seeing Android 13 mobiles before early builds of Android 14 appeared on Google’s developer blog. The idea is that they should be able to test how their apps work when the final version is released, and that developers should be able to report problems they find.
One of the weaknesses of Android is that the experience on a tablet is pretty mediocre. This is despite the launch of Android 12L (as in, the big screen). Now the news is being spun in Android 13 and 14. Looks like Google should do just that convince developers to customize their applications.
regional adaptations
For those of us who prefer some apps in one language and others in another, it is a misery to keep changing languages on the entire mobile phone. But in 14 you can set the preferred language for each application!
Plus, you can get measurements, temperatures, and the start day of the week in a European way, even if the rest of the phone insists on being American. Those of us who have used Google Maps Navigation in the USA and suddenly had to wrestle with feet and miles rejoice!
protection
If you want to share a photo through an app that you don’t really trust, now you don’t have to give it access everyone Pictures are longer, but selected pictures only. Just like it works in the iOS of *host host* Apple.
If you have an old game that you don’t want to get rid of, you might want to consider upgrading. Android 14 will block all apps that are not updated to Android 6 or later. This is because they are often riddled with security issues.
helps
For those who find it difficult to type small text, you can now scale the size by up to 200 percent. And so that the already large text does not become ridiculously large, the small text is scaled more than the large one. tasty!
If you’re having a hard time hearing the alert sound, you can now receive the notification in the form of a flashing screen, or if it should already be visible, with the flash.
Meeking under the hood
Behind the scenes, Google is screwing up little things that should make the system more efficient and that should provide slightly better battery life.
It is also rumored that there will be internal support for satellite communications.
When will the real version be released? On Google’s schedule, beta tests run through June, and platform optimization over the summer. So… maybe this fall?
But what happened to candy names like Android 8 Oreo and Android 9 Pie, you might be wondering? Don’t worry, they are still used internally. Android 14 is called Upside down cake in Google’s office.
