International fans of the hit drama, which begins showing on BBC One in the UK on February 27, have been eagerly awaiting the series’ return to the UK. Netflix– Platform.
There has been speculation about potential release dates since the UK broadcast date was confirmed, but nothing definitive. Now we finally have a date — but unfortunately, it’ll be a while before we get to see Peaky Blinders on the world’s biggest streaming service.
When is Peaky Blinders Season 6 coming to Netflix?
Peaky Blinders returns to Netflix Friday 10 June. It’s the date fans of the series outside the UK, or those who don’t have access, will be viewing it VPNwill have to wait.
Given that the show’s final episode will air on April 3rd in the UK, that means a long wait for international subscribers, but that is the date chosen by the show’s producers.
The final season of the series has become really popular in the UK. After premiering on BBC One, the show’s sixth season set a new season release record with 3.8 million viewers overnight. It was a UK record for Peaky Blinders’ inaugural season and matched the numbers at the end of season five. We also expect these numbers to rise during the season.
Is this the end of Peaky Blinders?
As a string, yes. Season 6 marks the final round for Peaky Blinders, but creator Stephen Knight isn’t done yet, he’s already planning a movie and he has Confirm that all key players will attend (Opens in a new tab).
The movie will be shot in 2023 and Knight hasn’t ruled out the possibility of more spin-offs, though he has confirmed that he won’t be responsible for any of them. Filming for the series began in 2013, and by the time the final episode airs, it will have run 36 episodes.
