Intel confirms flagship Core i9-13900KS

With the Core 13000 series, Intel has focused on increasing clock frequencies, not least by promising an upcoming higher model. Which should be up to 6GHz “Straight out of the box”. Now it is confirmed that it is a “KS” model, in connection with A new overclocking record.

The company is documented in the usual way, including video format on Intel YouTube channel. The video confirms not only the overclocking record, but also the Core i9-13900KS processor. On several occasions, the camera captures a window with the CPU-Z open, where the processor with the KS suffix is ​​shown in the specifications.

Since the program detects the processor with both the K and KS suffix, this means that the Core i9-13900KS follows the same pattern as the previous i9-12900KS and is a “binding” Core i9-13900K. This means that it is essentially the same processor, with variants marked KS being sampled particularly suitable for high clock frequencies.

The photo shows a core up to 6.7 GHz, but in the context of overclocking. Exactly what clock frequency Intel plans to set remains unknown at launch. The date is still missing, but with CES 2023 approaching, the unveiling can be expected within the next few weeks.
