Nintendo apologizes for the poor performance in Pokémon Scarlet / Violet

Work to improve things.

newly released Pokémon Scarlet/Violet It was not yet another example of developer commitment – unstable performance was delayed. Which fortunately also Nintendo I noticed.

In conjunction with patching the game to version 1.1.0, Nintendo apologizes for the performance issues and promises to look into them. However, this is not done in the just-released patch: it kicks off the first ranked battle season and fixes some bugs. But a performance patch will come in the future hopefully.

Version 1.1.0 (released Dec 1, 2022)

  • The first season of ranked battles will start, allowing you to enjoy ranked battles through the battlefield.
    – Please see the in-game notice for more details about Season 1 Ranked Battles.

  • Fixed an issue causing the music to not play correctly during battles with the Elite Four and Top Champion in the Victory Road course.

  • Other bug fixes have been identified.

We understand that players may experience issues that affect gaming performance. Our goal has always been to give players a positive experience with our games, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We take player feedback very seriously and work to make game improvements.

Despite the criticism and not particularly high ratings, it sold really well. Nintendo called it their biggest launch ever and said 10 million copies were sold. So the thing about using the wallet to vent discontent doesn’t sound familiar to everyone.
