The Game Awards will be held on December 8, and in addition to the games released during the year being celebrated, viewers can also check out a series of trailers and news for upcoming games. The whole thing usually becomes a real crowd party, and last year’s edition had 85 million viewers worldwide. Valve said they’re going to hit the gaming party by giving viewers the chance to get their hands on the Steam Deck for absolutely free.
According to Valve, a 100 Steam Deck with 512GB of storage will be given away during the promotion and there will be gifts every minute. To participate in the draw, users only need Register your interest via Steam Then keep your fingers crossed. To register, you need an unbanned Steam account and that the purchase was made between November 14, 2021, and November 14 of this year. Once registered, simply watch the Game Awards online Steam.TV or Game Awards page on Steam.
Game Awards previously took about two and a half hours to complete, so there may have been about 150 Steam Deck copies handed out to viewers. Also, since there are about 85 million viewers this time, the odds of winning the raffle are pretty low, but since it’s free, it’s still worth throwing your hat into the virtual ring. Everyone who signs up gets a Steam Deck sticker to apply to their profile, at least it’s something.
