Users’ feedback on things is a large part of the internet, something that was completely missing in Spotify, so it’s not entirely unexpected that Spotify is now testing a functionality where users can respond to playlists. What may be a little unexpected, however, is the format in which they are made, the audio recordings, which may actually be quite appropriate.
The test is said to have been first discovered by a user in Vietnam who saw a button at the top of the playlist, upon pressing the user ended up on a page with the text “What do you think? Record a loop to share ideas in the playlist.”, with the record button below.
Spotify confirmed the test, telling TechCrunch:
“At Spotify, we’re always looking for ways to improve our users’ experience on our platform, and regularly test features that we think will bring value to listeners and creators. We’re currently running limited testing of in-app audio creation, but we don’t have more details to share at this time.”
