Huawei launches P50 Pocket | Moving

At a major event today, Huawei presented, among other things, its latest mobile phone – Huawei P50 Pocket, the company’s first foldable mobile phone with a “clamshell” design. The screen is a 6.9-inch OLED screen with an aspect ratio of 21:9 and a resolution of 2790 x 1188 pixels. It also has support for 120Hz and a camera hole for the vertical camera on top.

The outside has two large round windows, one of which has a small one inch screen that can display different types of gadgets for displaying messages etc. For example, you can start navigation on the folded screen, then fold the phone and have a constant navigation on the small screen outside.

The second aperture houses the camera module with a 40MP primary camera complimented by a 13MP wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 32MP f/1.8 camera which Huawei calls an Ultra Spectrum camera which will provide better color recording.

The P50 Pocket is powered by the Snapdragon 888, but it does not offer 5G but only 4G. The battery has a capacity of 4000 mAh with 40W charging support via cable.

The P50 Pocket is available in two models, one of which has 8 GB of working memory and 256 GB of storage, while the premium version has 12 GB of working memory and 512 GB of storage space. In the folded mode, the thickness of the phone is 15.2 mm, and in the folded mode it is 7.2 mm. Weight 190 grams.

Huawei P50 Pocket comes in black and white, while the premium version with more memory and storage is dominated by gold. The only official prices are Chinese, where the regular version is 8,988 yuan (just over 12,900 crowns) while the premium version is 10,988 yuan, which is about 15,700 crowns.

There is no information yet on when the models will be launched outside of China, but it is said that there will be an international launch.
