Saga Lenjesson (Västra Frölunda TK) made her World Cup debut and topped the Swedes during the individual trampoline qualifiers on Thursday. Saga finished the first series in a stable manner, but did not reach its full potential, and it was in the second attempt that Saga showed more height and power, which was rewarded with 47.430 points, a personal best.
– Saga and I are very satisfied with the effort. A personal best in the championship! Coach Douglas Dahlquist says.
Alva Lemoine (Uppsala GF) is the second woman out of the qualifiers and Alva has had a good first series. She passes the critical moments, then runs the series and delivers a score of 48.110. Alva completes four exercises in the second series, but then jumps out. Tuva Stjärnborg (Klippans GS) makes a great WC debut and offers a smile after his effort. In the first series, she misses a bit at the end, but during the second series, she gets a consistent and good jump that gives her a score of 48.920. Lina Sjöberg from Uppsala GF still didn’t reach her full potential today, but got the highest score among Swedish women with 51.120. Lena is competing in her 9th WC, and when her second series goes wrong, she shows evidence of experience and recovers from it with different exercises than intended.
