UK High Speed ​​Railways HS2, GBP62M, SKSKA performs major biling work for approximately SEK 720 million

Cementation has entered into an agreement with Skanska Gostine Strobach, a joint venture between Scanska for major bilingual work in the London Tunnels section of the UK’s HS2 High Speed ​​Railway. The deal is worth a total of 93GB. The outer part of the deal, valued at 62GB, is approximately SEK 720 million, which will be included in the order intake for Europe in the second quarter of 2021.

Cementation Skanska will create one of the largest tongue pits in Europe – the equivalent of four football pitches. The approximately 1-kilometer-long construction site will have lines entering the new HS2 high-speed rail Euston station. In total, about 2,000 piles will be installed.

The HS2 will deliver approximately 555 kilometers of new expressway and is expected to carry more than 300,000 passengers a day in full operation. This will increase access across the country and help the UK achieve its net zero CO2 emissions target by 2050.
