Thunderful Lost in Random will be released on September 10 on all major platforms

lost in random^TM is an action-adventure covered in black humor, developed by the award-winning Zoink team, Thunderful and published by Electronic Arts. From September 10, 2021, players from all over the world can visit the Kingdom of Random, a dark wonderland where only the bravest survive, and where you must quickly learn to turn the odds in your favour. “We wanted to create a fairy tale that was a little darker than what we had done before. We drew a lot of different characters and concepts, but we didn’t know we had found the right person until the girl showed up and we shot her.” Olov Redmalm, creative director and lead author of Lost in Random, told during EA Originals Spotlight on EA Play Live 2021. “One of the tricky aspects was deciding what the game would look like and function. We wanted the theme and the game to revolve around dice, and the trick was to find a balance in randomness. From that, the game then grew naturally.”

A random kingdom ruled by an evil queen and divided into six shadow worlds where life is dictated by enchanting black dice. As Even, they make their way through the country’s mysterious cobbled streets, meet its unpredictable inhabitants and face challenges to save their sister, Odd, from her terrible majesty. Along the way, Dice meets curious little Dicey, and together they reveal an ancient story with a surprising current message: Coincidence is not something to fear or control, but a force that, by embracing it, can be controlled – and exploited.
