If you want to be 100% safe, check the documents from the inspection and examine the condition of the belts, salon, panels, etc.;
• With a car seat – the presence of a child seat in the car is mandatory when there is a child under 12 years of age or 145 cm tall. When selecting cars for rent, always specify the availability of a car seat in the cabin or the possibility to additionally install it for a fee. And if the children are older and taller, you can ask for a vehicle with an extra seat belt, which is usually located on the rear passenger seat;
• A comfortable cabin – babies and teens are very restless, so the passenger seats must be made of pleasant fabric. Also in the back and front should leave enough room for knees, elbows, and children’s toys, which are also often taken with them even on trips;
• A roomy trunk – regardless of age, a child always needs more than an adult. For example, the trunk is often carried strollers, a bag with the necessary hygiene products for babies (diapers, changes of clothes, wet wipes, pacifiers, bottles, etc.). If you have more than two kids in the family, give preference to models like the Ford Focus 3, Mitsubishi Outlander, or Nissan X-Trail;
• Gadgets for navigation – for convenience pick up options that are equipped with GPS navigators. This will easily build a route to any point in an unfamiliar city. And if you choose a cheap car rental and there is no navigation in the cabin, then clarify the possibility of its installation for a fee.
