Who can apply?
Small grant eligibility criteria will apply to organizations seeking storm relief funding. Applying organizations will need to ensure they have any relevant permissions required to carry out the work.
Previous recipients of emergency funding from us for flood or storm damage who are now applying again will need to show steps they have taken to mitigate further damage.
Applicants will need to provide evidence of damage directly attributable to recent flooding (October/November 2023). Please upload photos with your order.
Applicants will also need to explain why the damage cannot be covered by their insurance policy.
As part of our commitment to our collective net zero ambitions, applicants must explain how, as an organisation, they are trying to reduce energy use, promote responsible travel and reduce waste.
What can the financing be used for?
We can fund emergency costs to help restore sports facilities and activity venues. Examples include:
- Skip rental for sediment and trash removal
- Simple electrical work to restore power
- Disinfection work or cleaning clogged drains
- Cleaning works to restore the operation of shower rooms and changing rooms
- Building insurance.
Is there anything you won't find?
The financing is designed solely to assist in the initial liquidation process to enable the resumption of activity. We will not find the following costs:
- Inventory loss
- Replace damaged equipment
- Decrease in profit
- Goods or services of in-kind value (you will be asked to provide proof of expenditure)
- Any routine maintenance or repairs resulting from daily wear and tear
- Any expenses are covered by insurance
- Football Facilities – Any funding application for projects involving football must clearly show that it is a multi-activity facility.
