Sir Jackie Stewart was part of the Formula 1 circus between 1965 and 1973. During those years he won three championships and was always a top driver and had many fans.
In addition to being knighted by Great Britain, the Scottish-born driver has been a fixture on the racing circuits over the years. He attended Monaco GP at the end of May and then traveled to speak at a funeral in England.
On the day after rest, he went to Jordan to attend the wedding of Crown Prince Al-Hussein and Rajawa Al-Saif. The Swedish crown couple was also present there.
“I was very ill at the time, I said it but not as clearly as I wished,” Stewart tells the Daily Mail.
Good news: “I can walk almost flawlessly.”
During the flight to Jordan, he suffers a stroke in a hotel room. Son Stuart was at the hotel and managed to call an ambulance.
– I don’t know how I got to Paul’s room, he says.
– They took me to an ambulance but I don’t remember which one, His Majesty made sure I got to the best doctors there.
Just a few weeks later, the legend will now debut at the Silverstone GP.
I do physiotherapy and now I can walk almost flawlessly. Everything is going well and now I’m going to Silverstone for two days.
