Football
The International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) suspends all Russian national and club teams from FIFA-sanctioned matches and tournaments. As a result, the men’s national team was eliminated from the play – off round of the World Cup in Qatar.
Monday’s result is completely reversed from FIFA, most recently announced on Sunday that the Russian men’s national team can play in neutral without spectators.
The news could also affect this summer’s European Football Championship for women. There, Sweden is dragged into the same group as Russia and Switzerland.
Switzerland have already announced their refusal to play against Russia in the European Championship.
Russia lost in the men’s Champions League final on May 28 in St. Petersburg.

Volleyball
Russia and Belarus have been excluded from all matches and tournaments organized by the European Handball Federation (EHF).
Groundball
Russia and Belarus have been ruled out of international matches.
Ice hockey
Russia and Belarus from all ice hockey matches indefinitely.
Restrictions apply to all ages and clubs and national teams. That means those countries will not be allowed to play in the Men’s World Cup in Finland in May.
Russia will also be barred from participating in the Junior WC this summer, and will miss holding the JVM 2023. On the women’s side, the Russian women’s team will be eliminated from both the U18 WC in June and the WC in August / September.
Finnish jokerit and Latvian dinamo riga have left the KHL.
The NHL is severing its business ties with companies in Russia. The league suspends its Russian-language platforms online and suspends any plans to transfer matches to Russia.
Judo
The International Judo Federation (IJF) has fired Russian President Vladimir Putin as honorary president.
Number skating
Russia and Belarus have been suspended from international matches.
Orientation
Russia has been excluded from international competitions.
Swimming
Russian Kazan will lose from Junior WC in August. The International Swimming Federation (FINA) is looking for a new organizer. The Short Track World Championships in Kazan in December have not yet been canceled or moved.
Russians and Belarusians are allowed to compete as arbitrators.
Biathlon
Russian and Belarusian skaters were suspended from competitions organized by the International Federation of IBUs.
Skiing
The International Sky Federation (Fis) has canceled or moved all competitions in Russia – now suspending all Russian and Belarusian skaters from all competitions.

Sports in general
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has asked all affiliates not only to boycott Russian competitions but also not to allow Russian or Belarusian athletes to participate.
Athletes around the world are demanding that Russian and Belarusian athletes be excluded from the Paralympics, which start on Friday in Beijing. The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has announced that Russian athletes will be allowed to compete under the neutral flag.
