The Czech Republic accused, Saturday, two Russian spies, accused of being responsible for the poisoning of dissident spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter in the United Kingdom in 2018, for being behind a bombing in the Czech Republic in 2014.
The blast occurred in a Czech ammunition depot, killing two people.
– Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis said during a press conference on Saturday evening that there are justified doubts about the intervention of the Russian intelligence service GRU.
He promised to threaten Russia after the accusation
As a sign, the Czech Republic chose to expel 18 Russian diplomats.
Russia reacted furiously on Sunday to the accusation. The Russian Foreign Ministry pledges to: “To force the creators of this provocation to fully understand their responsibility in destroying the foundations of normal relations between our two countries,” according to Reuters.
The Czech Republic has informed its NATO and European Union allies, and the European Union foreign ministers will discuss the issue at a meeting on Monday.
