For those of you who have more Philips Hue light sources than most, this news could come in handy! Support for more interoperable bridges appears to be on the way.
The German site Hueblog has found information Philips Hue works on multi-bridge support. It is not like today's support where more bridges can be added but treated as separate bridges. It now appears that there will be support for multiple bridges in the same fixture, which means better control options for you with multiple light sources.
Today, the Phillips Hugh Bridge has been built To manage 50 light sources, which is definitely enough for most average users. However, when the number of accessories and light sources starts to add up, another bridge is needed. However, this could not be installed in the same house, but had to be treated as a separate one.
On one of the Philips Hue support pages It reads as follows:
“Do you have more than one bridge? Later this year, you'll be able to add multiple bridges to one account and sort them into homes to keep your system organized.
Support appears to be scheduled to launch in 2024 But no date has been set. Whether multiple bridges can work together smoothly, we have to hope that different controllers connected to different bridges can handle light sources without restrictions.
How many Philips Hue tools do you have in your installation?
