During the year, the amount of rumors surrounding the Nintendo Switch 2 increased dramatically, but Nintendo denied the rumors and said they were just a hoax. Regardless of Nintendo’s reluctance to talk about the new console, it seems that the company is preparing for its launch, as new rumors point to an early release in 2024.
The launch window comes from trusted Technology leaker Ravengus Which states that the launch will take place at the beginning of 2024. But it is not known whether it will be at the beginning of the calendar year or the fiscal year that begins in April 2024 for Nintendo. Regardless, Nintendo seems to want to keep information about the Switch sequel private, but Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has indicated that there won’t be long at all between the game’s reveal and launch.
Furthermore, it is rumored that the upcoming Switch will feature a Samsung OLED panel and the companies have begun some form of negotiations. As with the current Switch, the sequel is expected to be available in two forms, with the more expensive model equipped with an OLED panel, while the cheaper model sports an LCD screen.
When it comes to rumours, it is of course beneficial to treat information with a great deal of caution, and the same applies to this new information. Regardless of the fact, it seems that Nintendo is aiming to launch it in 2024, but it remains to be seen whether that will happen at the beginning or end of the year.
