Hollywood actor invests SEK 2.3 billion in Alpine Racing Ltd.

Alpine – Alpine Racing Ltd accelerates its development and welcomes global investors,

Renault Group and Alpine welcome Otro Capital and its partner, Red Bird Capital Partners, together with Maximum Effort Investments to Alpine Racing Ltd, the Formula 1 entity based in Enstone (UK).

• The investor group is investing €200 million, equivalent to 24%, to support Alpine’s growth strategy and sporting ambitions in Formula 1. After the investment, the transaction value of Alpine Racing Ltd. is approximately $900 million.

• The Investors Group is excited to enter F1, one of the most attractive and fastest growing international sports, with a historic pioneer in F1. The group of investors brings together a unique blend of experience. Otro Capital and RedBird Capital Partners, with branding activities, Maximum Effort Investments (led by Ryan Reynolds) brings successful sports and media experience and operational expertise to the construction and further development of Alpine Racing Ltd.

• Actor Ryan Reynolds’ partner is Michael B. Jordan, also an actor, and Rob McElhinney, Co-Chairman of Wrexham AFC. Alec Shiner, Co-Founder and Partner at Otro Capital, will join the Board of Directors of Alpine Racing Ltd. The acting duo is part of investment group RedBird which has bought a 24 per cent stake in the F1 stable. The agreement is worth more than SEK 2.3 billion and Alpine Racing, part of parent company Renault, is valued at approximately SEK 9.6 billion.
