Historic WC went to Denmark after riding the Queen

“It was a really wonderful day,” says happy Catherine Laudrup Dufour.

The crowd at the WC Arena in Herning were excited. A little too much sometimes. At the end of the program, they began to clap their hands and a number of horses interacted with them.

Ahead of Sunday’s decision about the team’s taming, Catherine Laudrup-Dufour pleaded with the public on Instagram to remain calm as she and Vamos Amigo rides.

It was calm when the crew entered the ring. Everyone knows what is at stake. If Denmark were to win their first World Cup gold in team dressage, dressage queen Laudrup-Dufour had to perform at the highest level.

at one A few of them couldn’t stop themselves at the end of the trip but started to clap, they were quickly and effectively silenced by the rest of the audience.

– Thank you very much to the audience, they really followed the path and made it clear when everyone should be calm and when it is good to clap. It was very nice to try it, says Catherine Laudrup-Dufour with a smile.

– Vamos Amigos is still very young. One day, of course, he’ll learn to handle a boisterous crowd, but I felt it didn’t have to be today, she continues.

However, when the trip ended, the cheers rose, and it sounded impossibly louder as the judges read the percentages.

Catherine Laudrup Dufour Vamos Amigos scored 81.864%. Thus the team took the Danish gold as a team, and was also the team with the highest percentage ever.

The team also included Karina Caso Cruz / Helen Dancera, Nana Mirald Rasmussen / Blue Horses Zack and Daniel Bachmann Andersen / Marshall Bell.

– It means an unbelievable amount of doing it with three great racers. Laudrup Dufour says I feel proud to ride on the same team as them.

after saturday – Where the team’s first riders were – Sweden finished fourth before Sunday’s decision.

Thus, the dream of receiving the first Swedish dressage medal in 24 years was very vivid.

But the Swedish team’s third rider – and first to ride on Sunday – Therese Nilschagen didn’t get it.

She and horse Dante got off to a good start on their show, but then ran into some costly problems.

The team scored 74,456 per cent and therefore Sweden’s chances of winning the medals dropped dramatically.

Last time in the Swedish team, veteran Patrick Kittel rode the Tochdown Tour, making his tournament debut. The team scored 76.522 percent.

The landing was very good. I couldn’t ask him anything else today, says Patrick Keitel.

But it was not enough for Sweden to win a medal. For the second consecutive world championship, Sweden took fourth place. The silver medal went to Great Britain, the bronze went to Germany.
