Tom Cruise returned for the seventh time as IMF Agent Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1. Reviewers were generally impressed with the action movie.
Jan Olof Andersson of Aftonbladet wrote that the film contains some of the most amazing scenes in film history and that as pure entertainment the film is “top notch”. However, he calls the plot “paper-thin”.
Since the movie is the first of two parts, you won’t know how the story ends. The one looking forward to the next part is GP’s Jonathan Bengtson.
He wrote that the film is “a very long and partly excellent film. It may break sometimes, but it is hard to care about it.”
DN’s Sebastian Lindvall wrote that lead actor Tom Cruise is beginning to find it “hard to keep up with his younger co-stars” but that the film delivers “high-octane action”.
