We congratulate Lisa Jarr (Ensgate LTK) and Keiza Hennemann (KLTK) who won their first ITF title together. In Saturday’s doubles final of the $15,000 Stockholm Ladies Tournament at Nesbypark, Ukraine’s Daria Yesipchuk and Daria Lopatetska won 5-7, 6-1, 10-6.
– Every time we played we thought we were going to win because it felt good. So now it’s nice to put that bag together and take a topic together, says Lisa on Näsbyparks TK’s website.
The doubles title was Keisa and Lisa’s 14th and third in their careers, respectively. They were also asked about next week’s Billie Jean King Cup match against Great Britain, where both were selected.
– It’s going to be a really fun week where we’ll fight for Sweden as a team on and off the track. “Then if we are allowed to play the doubles match, of course we are 110 per cent ready,” Saijsa said on the website.
Leah Nilsson (Salk) and Lisa Jarr (Ensgate LTK) advanced in the singles quarterfinals on Friday. Lea fell 1-6, 3-6 to Croatia’s second seed Iva Primorac, while Lisa lost 5-7, 2-6 to Daria Lopedetska. However, Keiza Hennemann advanced after an easy 6-1, 6-1 win over Belgian qualifier Jana Otsipka.
On Saturday, Caijsa played 22-year-old Andre Lukosiute in the semifinals. In the end, it was a 6-1, 7-5 victory for the Lithuanian who had a chance to win her first ITF title on Sunday. There he meets Daria Lopatetska, who plays for the Tanderit Jursholm Elite Tennis Club.
