PGA Tour. The cash-rich and prestigious Tour Championship is being played this week at East Lake GC in Georgia. After three rounds, the in-form Norwegian leads the pack, Viktor Hovland, who has found his best form in the season finale. Hovland shot a 66 (-4) in the third round and was 20 even before the final round. The Norwegian is six strokes ahead of Xander Schauffele and seven ahead of Keegan Bradley and Collin Morikawa heading into the final day. In fifth place are world number one Scotty Scheffler, Spaniard Jon Rahm and Wyndham Clarke.
DB World Tour. This week’s tournament on the DB World Tour, the T+T Real Czech Masters, is all about which players will get their last chance to play on the European Ryder Cup team this fall. Finland’s Sami Vallimäki and England’s Matt Wallace are tied for the lead at 16 under through the Czech Masters final. Both Alexander Björk and Ludvig Åberg were good after two rounds, but both lost in Saturday’s round. Åberg rolled in 71 shots (-1). But during a lightly beaten day, it went from a shared fifth place on the leaderboard to a shared 14th place.
