Today marks exactly 10 years since Tesla opened its first Supercharger stations in Europe. Originally, six stations were in Norway. Now 10 years later, the network spans 36 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. With more than 1,000 stations and 13,000 charging points.
In honor of its 10th anniversary, Tesla is offering free fast charging until midnight tonight. That’s for both Tesla owners, members and drop-in customers.
– The initiative is part of Tesla’s Electric Summer celebration and a token of appreciation for the Tesla community for helping make the Supercharger network one of the largest, most reliable and fastest charging networks in Europe, Tesla writes in a press release:
– For other electric car owners, this is a great opportunity to test the network and significantly expand their charging options, as more than 70 percent of the network is now open to all electric cars in Europe and the Middle East.
