Google is investing in its first independent store. Retail space will open in New York sometime this summer. The tech giant announces it in a blog post, in which the exact opening date has not been specified.
The store will offer general support as well as the opportunity to purchase various Google e-products, such as Pixel phones, Nest smart speakers and Fitbit watches. Customers can also choose to shop online and pick up products from the store.
Google previously created many pop-up projects and store-in-store solutions, but Store in New York is the first permanent and independent store. Site The New York City campus is in the Chelsea area, where approximately 11,000 people work.
Physical store The tech giant described it as “an important next step in our hardware journey to provide the best possible Google experience, when and where people need it.”
“We will have experts on hand to help customers get the most out of their products. Our team will be able to provide special and customized assistance to your needs,” writes the tech giant and promises a safe environment for the coronavirus in its New York store.
For now, it’s just a store. It’s unclear at the moment whether Google has plans for more physical storage and whether it is relevant to stores outside of the US.
