For many, Go Banana in Karlskoga is a stop before a fun weekend. When Halloween and then Advent approach, people prepare for the peak season.
– Halloween is so big and it’s getting bigger and bigger, says store manager May Lilja, there are a lot of Halloween candy and we also have makeup and clothes.

Quality sweets at really good prices, that’s how My Lilja describes the idea behind Go Banana, which in addition to 270 loose sweets, has a huge selection of everything from chocolate boxes and snacks to energy drinks and frozen pizzas. The fact that the prices are good is evidenced at least by the fact that it is not only individuals who come here to buy sweets.
– Many small associations and stalls buy sweets here because it will be cheaper than if they bought them from a wholesaler, my country says, and we are happy about that.

They are also toy and package agents, at the party corner they inflate helium balloons and provide most of what you need for a successful party. On a special shelf there is a large assortment of American sweets.
-We have a lot of trending stuff on Tiktok, whatever becomes popular there and people want, we accommodate it as soon as possible.

They also provide gift hampers and Christmas gifts for businesses, a sector that is getting bigger every year and one they will continue to focus on. May says they recently hired another employee at the store so she herself can put more effort into the business and events part.
– It’s a lot of fun, and we have many returning business customers, which shows their satisfaction.

There is no shortage of ideas for both the store and the business side, and they are constantly working to grow the business. One example is that for a couple of years they have been offering home delivery via Menuo, which has become very popular. But what is the next step they do not want to reveal yet.
“There are plans and we want to grow and develop further,” May says, smiling. “We are still at the beginning.”
