The players were greeted with a dull look when they arrived at Gaisgården for today’s training.
The pitch is littered with tire tracks – after someone spent the night vandalizing.
-Sporting director Jonas Lundin says someone was inside and drove for two laps, and there are car tracks all over the field.
– Fortunately, it can be practiced. It would be sad if the damage was so great that it could not be done. We will file a police report for vandalism.
“Nothing like this ever happened.”
It was not known who carried out the sabotage.
“Nothing like this has happened in my years here,” says Jay’s captain Kenneth Gustafsson after completing training on the “covered” turf.
Jay’s support manager Eric “Fralan” Bergqvist is heartbroken.
– It sounds so boring… It’s never fun, it’s annoying when things like this happen. Fortunately it wasn’t muddy, the damage could be worse.

This weekend, Gai’s arch-rival IFK Göteborg was also sabotaged. Blåvitt’s memorial stone on Karlsofältet is painted in Gais green and black colours.
It was not clear if the attack on the car was a retaliation against the rock painting.
We don’t want to speculate about that at all. We don’t have proof of anything. Erik Bergqvist says someone vandalized the Gaisgarden and we don’t know who it is.
How hopeful do you have of finding whoever did it?
