The match was decided in front of 94,000 spectators at Wembley, London, a British boxing record, when White Fury challenges for the WBC World Championship belt.
At the same time, Tyson Fury promised that the home match, his first since 2018, would be his last before his retirement.
Fury has won 31 of her 33 professional fights and is a two-time world champion.
“I am a two-time undisputed champion, £150m in the bank, nothing to prove to anyone,” Fury said last month when he promised to be “completely retired after the match”.
But the 33-year-old was modest when talking about his opponent.
– He’s a good fighter. A good, strong, solid man. He has good punches with good power, he has beaten many guys, Fury said during a press conference on Wednesday, and continued:
He’s definitely a guy who needs a lot of respect and that’s what I gave him during training camp. I trained as hard with Dillian (Whyte) as I did with Deontay Wilder or Wladimir Klitschko or anyone else.
Dillian White was born in Jamaica and then moved to the UK with his family at the age of 12 – and now he believes he can become the man who will finally win Fury.
– That’s the wonderful thing about me. I will find a way to survive, and I will find a way to get to where I want to be. I still believe that anyone who touches their head or body can be fired, White said.
