After years of searching and battling exhaustion, Emma has found peace in the beautiful region of Faro. There she spends her long summers with Olle and runs a shabby but charming guesthouse by the sea. But do she and Olly want the same things in life?
When life falls apart again, Emma returns home to Stockholm. She’s not sure what to do next, but when her friend advises her to go back to the Camino for her pilgrimage, hope flares up. It was a walk along the dusty northern Spanish lanes that gave her the joy of life so many years ago. Can Camino show her a new way forward?
With hopes of peaceful days of hiking and time to recuperate, Emma heads to Spain. But peace does not come and she meets hikers from all over the world, including Scottish wandering poet Josh who loves to be seen and heard. Against all odds, they become hiking friends and Emma soon realizes that Josh is not what she first thought. When they one day seek comfort in each other, there are consequences far greater than either of them are prepared for…
