– I cannot imagine a single Englishman who enjoyed their efforts. It was ugly, it was hard. You could use all sorts of words and obscenities, but it was lousy, BBC analyst and former scientist Gary Lineker said on his podcast.
The last match in the group stage was not impressive either.
– It's incredibly stagnant England, and nothing ever happens. Players are changed, and they are changed at half-time, but the problem now is not the players, they are not working as a team. Nothing is created, they move very little. This is the main concern of many English people at the moment, says John Guidetti at SVT Studio.
