And in Sunday’s match between Bordeaux and Marseille in the French League, Samuel Kalou collapsed in the sixth minute.

Soon, his anxious teammates stood by Calu while frantically gesturing at the medical team. When Kalou received treatment on the field, Bordeaux and Marseille players formed a human wall around him.

After a few uncertain minutes, the 23-year-old Kalou managed to stand up and walked off the pitch with the help of some teammates.

“Everyone was scared but fortunately it ended well,” says Odin.

Samuel Kalu even tried to play but was substituted in the 14th minute by Remi Oudin. The cause of the collapse is not clear, but the 30-degree heat is believed to have had an effect.
