Siamese twins Abby and Brittany Hensel were born on March 7, 1990 in Minnesota, USA. Abby controls the right side of the body, Brittany the left side.

Parents Patty and Mike Hensel chose not to try to separate the twins because doctors said their chances of surviving the procedure were low.

– How can you choose between them? The sisters' father, Mike, told Time magazine in 2001.

Abby and Brittany gained worldwide attention after they were guests on Oprah Winfrey's show in 1996. Later, they showed their lives as Siamese twins in the reality series “Abby and Brittany.”

Since then, they have obtained driver's licenses, finished college, and traveled to Europe. For the past eleven years, the sisters have served as educators in Minnesota.

“We only get paid because we do one person's work,” Abby said.

Abby is married

Patty Hensel said in a 2003 documentary that her daughters wanted to be parents one day.

“Maybe it will work because these organs are working as they should,” Patty said.

This was confirmed by his daughter Brittany.

“Yes, we will be mothers, even if we don't really think about what it will be like,” Brittany said.

Now they are one step closer to becoming parents. Abby, now 34, has been married to 33-year-old Josh Bowling, a paramedic and military veteran, for three years.
