Busch Vacuum Solutions - Family Business of the Year in Germany

Busch Vacuum Solutions – Family Business of the Year in Germany

Busch Vacuum Solutions was founded in an equal partnership, a generational team with a complete cultural and professional background. The Bush family enjoyed diversity, and the comment was an oversight. Ayhan, Dr.-Eng. Carl, Ayla, Sami and Kaya Bush lead Bush Vacuum Solutions and make all the decisions together.

“The Busch family is a future-oriented, financially successful entrepreneur with a life diversity between generations, gender and culture, which contributes exceptionally to the company’s long-term family ownership,” says jury member and INTES director Katharina Prime, quoting the jury’s reasoning. .

Decisions are made by the Bush family. With this approach, the company creates a conversational culture that requires a lot of discipline and strength from one’s own perspective, while ensuring better results. “We’re all business leaders,” says Kaya Bush. And Ayla Bush adds: “Everyone has a different point of view, and criticism moves us forward.” A constructive critical perspective, diverse viewpoints and free speech are expected from the 3,800 employees worldwide who work at 6 manufacturing facilities and subsidiaries in 45 countries.

This discussion-oriented corporate culture and collaboration goes back to couple Ayhan and Dr.-Ing. Carl Bush. In 1963, engineer Carl Busch invented the HUCKEPACK in the basement of his house. He invented the first vacuum pump for food packaging. From this discovery, the family business developed a leading vacuum and positive pressure technology. But without Ayhan Bush, the ingenious invention would not have been so successful. He expanded the company and ensured that the product was marketed properly. From the beginning, the founding pair had an equal partnership, where engineering spirit and entrepreneurship complemented each other. All three children were born into a start-up company, as Sammy Bush put it – and were initially given the opportunity to accompany their parents on business trips and contribute their opinions about the company.

Because the family’s local roots and regional commitment are important, the family business has kept its headquarters for decades. Busch Vacuum Solutions has already been awarded for its social and cultural commitment. The family business is not concerned about its long-term existence – with six grandchildren, it can rightly be called a grandchild and a generational business. The founder of the company is Dr.-Ing. Carl Busch reveals: “They all want to work for Busch one day.”
