Boris Becker is back in the hot waters of tennis after his prison sentence.
But the new job, as coach of Holger Rohn, does not change the conditions for being in England in preparation for Wimbledon next summer.
“All foreign nationals who have been convicted of a crime and deported are prohibited from returning for the duration of their sentence.”A spokesman added Telegraph.
Dane Holger Rönn, who left the Stockholm Open straight away this week, is in a negative direction. In addition, he faced a chaotic situation on the coaching front and recently returned to Dane Lars Christensen, after working with Serena Williams' former coach Patrick Mouratoglou.
Boris Becker was seen last week in Monaco, where he trained with the young star. Ron then made an Instagram post about the two, as well as two other coaches, with the text: “Great week of training in Monaco.” That was before it became official that he would try to help world number eight Holger Röhn get back on track.
Confirms: Becker is not welcome at Wimbledon
But the German tennis giant is still not allowed to attend when Ron plays at Wimbledon next year. This was confirmed by the British Home Office Telegraph.
A ministry spokesman told the newspaper: “All foreign nationals who have been convicted of a crime and deported are prohibited from returning for the duration of their sentence.”
Boris Becker expressed his pride in the new job in an interview with Eurosport.
– I can confirm that I am Holger Rohn's coach. It makes me proud that he asked me to be one. We have been in touch for a long time, but now was a very good time for both of us, he says and continues.
-I met him when he was 15 or 16 years old at the ATP Finals. Then I trained Novak Djokovic and he was our training partner. How long have I known him and his mother?
