The British court’s comment on Queen Elizabeth’s health is a “difficult balancing act”, giving the 95-year-old the integrity she deserves. The BBC’s court correspondent Sarah Campbell writes in an analysis that she was not initially reported to have spent a night at Queen’s Hospital.
Campbell writes that the news that the Queen had canceled a planned trip to Northern Ireland had caused concern in Great Britain, while the Queen had recently had a busy schedule.
Sky News court reporter Ryanan Mills writes that the court did not want to say that the Queen visited the hospital – but after the news broke in the media they were forced to comment on the matter. Mills touches on the issue of integrity and believes the public interest in the Queen’s health is paramount.
“But don’t expect the court to give them more information than they need.”
