Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue to publicly clean up their relationship with the British royal family. In a documentary series recently released on Netflix, the pair didn’t hold back.
– I wasn’t thrown to the wolves, I fed the wolves, among other things, Megan says in the documentary.
Expert: It’s a wonder they weren’t hurt more
But Britons don’t seem to appreciate criticism of their royal family all that much – a poll by YouGov for The Times found that 44 per cent think Prince Harry should be stripped of his royal title. 32 percent think he should keep it.
– I’m surprised this documentary didn’t hurt Harry and Meghan more. I think it was painful to watch and it shows that they are lost souls. It is significant that they thought this would somehow improve their situation, royal writer Tom Quinn told The Times.
Support for William and Kate surged
At the same time, feelings towards Prince William and Kate received a positive boost after the documentary series. 44 per cent say they now have more sympathy for the couple – with 17 per cent saying the same about Harry and Meghan.
