Some of the participants held signs reading only “witch hunt” – an expression Trump has long used against his opponents, not least when they present legal arguments against him.

The 37-count indictment, the first federal charge against a US president — and a former president — was announced on Friday.
Donald Trump is accused of, among other things, keeping classified documents at his home in Mar-a-Lago, Florida. A total of 37 indictments have been filed against Trump – making the indictment more comprehensive than many observers expected.
The US Department of Justice (DOJ) is behind the prosecution.
Already on Tuesday, the former president is expected to appear in court in Miami, Florida, in the case known as the “Documents Case”.
