– A full-scale invasion of Ukraine is likely in the next 24 hours
Australia faces a series of sanctions against Russia and expects a full-scale invasion soon.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced this morning that the Australian government considers Russia to have a few more hours to attack Ukraine.
Unprovoked and unacceptable
– The invasion of Ukraine has already begun in practice. Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Australia’s Liberal Conservative Liberal Party leader, says the invasion is unjust, undesirable, unacceptable and unacceptable.
Within the next 24 hours
“Russia is now in the final stages of launching a full – scale invasion of Ukraine, which will take place within the next 24 hours,” Scott Morrison told Sky News Australia.
He was elected Prime Minister of Australia in 2018 and is leading a coalition government with the Conservative Rural National Party.
Stands against bullies
Prime Minister Morrison stressed that Australia has always stood by its opponents and will support its allies against Russia’s aggression.
He also proposed a series of sanctions against the Russian regime.
Immediate interruptions
“The Australian government will immediately impose sanctions on Russian individuals in retaliation for Russia’s aggression against Ukraine,” Morrison said.
He also announced that the current sanctions against Crimea and Sevastopol would be extended to Donetsk and Luhansk.
Key allies are the United States and the United Kingdom
“Both of these actions are in line with our key partners, the United States and the United Kingdom,” he said.
Australia’s sanctions apply to banks, transport, energy, oil, gas and telecommunications.
There are about 38,000 Ukrainians living in Australia, while the Australian government estimates that there are currently about 1,400 Australians in Ukraine.
Australia offers a quick route to the Ukrainians
All Ukrainian citizens holding a visa to Australia that expires before June 30 will have their visa extended for six months. In addition, the 430 visa applications currently pending will be expedited by the Australian Migration Board.
