At the age of six, she appeared on the cover of the German newspaper Die Zeit and at the age of seven she was accepted into the Juilliard School. Clara Gumi Kang has won a plethora of awards, including the 2007 Tibur Varga Violin Competition, the 2009 Seoul Violin Competition and first prize at the 2010 Indianapolis International Violin Competition. Clara Jumi Cang plays the role of Antonio Stradivarius, the former “Strauss” from 1708.
