“We want to promote critical rules approach”

Stockholm Pride will continue throughout the week, but for rainbow doctors, celebrations – like previous years – begin with mixing on Friday at Mälarpavilmen Restaurant in KungSholmen.

It is a traditional lunch mixing with the new board members and members, and so some representatives from the Medical Association. It is a great opportunity to exchange experiences and “Networka”.

Even during a procession on Saturday, rainbow doctors go with the medical association at the SACOT train.

– We have a bus with our logo and the medical association logo, we have umbrellas, flags and some other materials. We have previously spent an apartment, but we will not have it.

-We would like to pay attention to everyone as a lgbtqi doctor, you are not alone if you are vulnerable to discrimination. We want to show that we are here to provide advice and support.

Did you suffer from discrimination in your work as a doctor?

– I am completely open to who I was and I did not suffer myself, but I know that colleagues felt discrimination.

Alejandro Campus Cruz says rainbow doctors and its members have a very important role in working on discrimination issues.

– We want to promote a standard approach – that this be in various issues, and make standards and visual structures and questions and create an open climate that everyone feels.

You have been a new president since last spring – how do you feel?

It is a fun feeling because I think our mission is important and meaningful. I was not president of any association before, so it would be exciting. Learn full of members of the Board of Directors.
