In Great Britain, 650 parliamentary elections are currently underway.

Labor leader Keir Starmer has already voted in the afternoon alongside his wife Victoria.

“Today, the future of Great Britain is at stake,” Starmer writes in a post on X.

Everything points to a big win for his party and Starmer becoming the country's next prime minister.

Pre-election polls showed Labor losing some of its lead. Now the party will get 39 percent of the vote, according to the BBC.

Conservatives are out in the cold

Current Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has voted.

The conservative Tories party has ruled the country for the past 14 years. The party is expected to suffer heavy losses and historically lose many seats.

Sunak on Wednesday warned of a strong Labor government.

– If they get a majority they could raise taxes by thousands of pounds. They will turn politics to the left and do nothing about illegal immigration.

According to the British media, even if the party loses today's election, Sunak is likely to remain as party leader.

The polls will close at midnight after the results of the first primary are declared.
