YouTube channel Taklab He succeeds in a new video with the achievement of making the Geforce RTX 4070 Ti Super provide higher performance than the Geforce RTX 4080 Super. In addition to increased operating speed, the circuit board has been modified with faster graphics memory.
The original Geforce RTX 4070 Ti Super is equipped with GDDR6X graphics memory with 21 Gbps circuitry speed. To enable higher performance than is possible with memory overclocking alone, Teclab replaced the memory modules with faster 24 Gbps Dayton modules.
The modified card was a partner card from Galax which was also overclocked to 271MHz on the graphics circuit and then had the graphics memory boosted to 2850MHz. The final score on Unigine's Superposition was 9,133 points, a significant increase from the card's original score of 7,028 points. In comparison, the Geforce RTX 4080 Super dominates in the Standard edition with just over 8,700 points.
Even if this procedure is technically possible to perform even for you, it may not be recommended. Memory circuit costs are said to be high and we probably don't even need to mention that the warranty extends worldwide.
Are you ready to tweak your graphics card to increase performance? Maybe you have already done so? Speak on the topic!
