After two years of digital races and breaks, it’s time for the big running party in West Gothenburg again. Fiskebäcksloppet Charity Race – Three Ports.

The race takes place during National Day June 6th and is an opportunity to celebrate with friends and family. In addition to the race itself, there is an event area with barbecue, coffee and activities in Sjöbacka – the picturesque green area where the starting and finishing point are also located.

– The race takes place in a scenic mountain environment where you can see and experience three ports – Onird, Hensholmen and Fiskback. We hope for a running party where you combine running and helping the vulnerable in our city. And, as always, we welcome both young and old exercisers and elite runners. Plus, we have a walking class for those who want to tackle the race at a slightly slower pace, says Susan Akebe, who leads the organizing group.

In addition to the exercise experience, the Fiskebäcksloppet is also useful to others. The entrance fee goes entirely to Rädningsmissionen’s Solrosen operation, which helps children who have a parent in prison.

Behind the race are running enthusiasts from two parishes in Fiskebäck who participate on a voluntary basis. The ambition is to create a race where the goal is to cross the finish line while at the same time making a social contribution.

“It’s a completely unique event and a simple and fun way for those who want to make a difference for people in our city,” says Samuel Haugstedt, Head of Fundraising at Rescue Mission.

– Solrosen is a company that depends largely on the money raised, so the contribution we get from the Fiskebäcksloppet means a lot to the children and families who come into contact with Solrosen.

For adults, the path is 10 kilometers long and passes through three ports – Fiskebäck, Önnered and Hinsholmen.

The 2 km course is for boys and girls up to 13 years old and goes around Sjöbacka.

In connection with the event area, a 100-meter snowball race is organized.
