Germany adds Britain to the list of countries at risk of contracting COVID-19.

It just means People who live in Germany are accepted from the UK. In addition, both vaccinated and unvaccinated persons arriving from the UK should be isolated for two weeks, and undergo PCR testing.

The decision comes after the Mayor of London issued a “special occasion” due to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant. More than 65,000 new cases were reported in the British capital in the past week, of which 26,418 were in the past 24 hours alone – the highest number since the pandemic began.

German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach has warned that a new wave of COVID-19 is imminent across the country.

“The more we can resist … the better,” he says.

Several other European countries, including France, have tightened entry rules for people traveling from the UK.

Germany also introduced quarantines for travelers from France, Denmark and Norway from Sunday – but that requirement only applies to the unvaccinated, as these countries are one level below the UK on Germany’s list of high-risk countries.
