Azets is attracting the attention of the franchisor’s CFOs by appointing its CFO of the Year at the Swedish Franchise Gala on October 15, 2021. The finalists are CFOs Olof Stenmark – Intersport, USA Kallenius – Mikonomin and Matthias Rikardsson-Meo.
On October 15, the Swedish Franchise Gala was organized by the Swedish Franchise Corporation. As a leading provider of finance and payroll services in the Nordic countries, Azets has caught the attention of the CFO by awarding it the ‘CFO of the Year’ award.
With the CFO of the Year award for Excellence, we want to highlight a role that is rarely allowed to be in the spotlight, and that is the CFO. The position of CFO and CFO today is a difficult and complex position that has changed a lot in recent years and has become increasingly strategic for the development of the company. As a finance manager, you must keep pace with the rapid development in terms of information technology and digitalization and use that to build a fast-paced financial function and create business value. This at the same time has to be cost-effective, delivered on time and motivating your employees. It’s not easy to get together, we see it right away in dialogue with all the CFOs we come into contact with, says John Migligaard Jensen, CEO of Azets in Sweden and Denmark.
The jury that selects the winner is made up of representatives from the Azets and McDonalds. After reviewing the financial development of a large number of franchises and the efforts of their financial managers, the jury approved the three finalists: Olof Stenmark – Intersport, USA Kallenius – Mikonomine and Matthias Rikardsson – Mio.
All three finalists are good examples of CFOs who, through their innovations, have developed a financial and economic function that has had a significant positive impact on the financial development of the franchise system, says Helena Malmström, Director of Marketing at Azets and one of the jury members.
